MEN AND WOMEN IN FLYING (PILOT), TECHNICAL AND GROUND DUTY BRANCHES

AND PRE-FINAL YEAR BE / B TECH FOR TECHNICAL BRANCH

1. Indian Air Force invites applications from Male & Female Indian citizen for grant of commission in Flying (Pilot), Technical and Ground Duty Branches for the courses for which the training would commence in Jan 2014 / Jul 2014.

2. Two separate advertisements have been released for Men and Women in Employment News dated 08 Dec 2012.

(a) Courses for Men commencing in Jan 2014: -

(i) Flying Branch:

No. 13 Short Service Commission Course

(ii) Technical Branch:

No. 84 Aeronautical Engineers Course (Permanent Commission)

No. 56 Short Service Commission Course



(iii) Ground Duty Branches:

No. 135 Ground Duty Officers Course (Permanent Commission)

No. 28 Short Service Commission Course



(b) Course for Men commencing in Jul 2014: -

(i) Technical Branch:

University Entry Scheme- 2014 (Permanent Commission)



(c) Courses for Women commencing in Jan 2014: -

(i) Flying Branch:

No. 42 Short Service Commission Course

(ii) Technical Branch:

No. 56 Short Service Commission Course

(iii) Ground Duty Branches:

No. 44 Short Service Commission Course



3. Graduates & Post Graduates with minimum 60% and 50% of marks respectively from different streams as stipulated in the advertisement are eligible to apply. Candidates pursuing final year / semester of qualifying exam may also apply for courses commencing in Jan 2014, provided there should not be any backlog at the time of SSB testing and the candidates should be able to provide provisional / original degree certificate latest by 15 Dec 2013.



For UES- 2013 Entry :- Candidates pursuing Pre-final year BE / B Tech are eligible to apply for UES- 2014 entry, provided there should not be any backlog at the time of SSB testing and the candidates should be able to provide provisional / original degree certificate latest by 15 Jun 2014.



4. All the relevant details, such as, educational qualifications, age, procedure for selection, application format and other aspects have been adequately covered in the advertisement. Copies of advertisements are annexed herewith. Eligible and willing candidates can apply online as per procedure mentioned in the advertisement. The last date for receipt of applications is 08 Jan 2013.

Training and Placement cell of MIMIT Malout is being managed by a dedicated team. The cell acts as a linker for the Industrial Training and Placement of students. The Training and Placement cell establishes contacts with industrial houses to arrange training and placement of the students. The Training and Placement cell also guides and helps the Final year students in securing jobs with their knowledge and achievements, by organizing campus Interviews and exploring various avenues for their placement. The cell extends all possible helps and provides all available infrastructure facilities to the organizations and their respective officials conducting campus interviews in the college campus. The cell also prepares placement brochure in print and electronic format and further distribution to relevant industry and job providers.
