It is a pleasure to inform you about an initiative of FDC lead by a top Management person of India's one of the leading public sector company and FSPL for providing an opportunity to the Electrical Engineering students (B.Tech/Diploma-2012 or 2013 Batch) in a Practical Training Programme starting next month that aims to provide practical exposure of industries like power sector & manufacturing and learning of basic concepts of core field that will enhace employability skills required in current market.

In the past time also, FSPL is always active in taking up initiatives for the academic and industries proposing its cutting edge quality solutions and to continue creating initiatives and solutions that positively impact people’s lives. As we all are well aware of the slowdown of fresher's hiring in the core industries and apart from this there is less practical exposure of students in their core subjects during college days, as a result of which engineering/diploma students are finding it hard to get placed or work in good MNCs in their respective field. Or maybe they were not given any chance of being interviewed in the companies of their core field area.

So, FSPL in association with FDC is starting this initiative programme lead by a top management person in India's one of the leading company to enhance engineer’s employability in today’s competitive market. And this programme is intended to provide a new platform for the students who wish to start their career in their core field and get a chance to get hired in leading core companies. Fee Structure:
Total –Rs. 10,000/- only
Fee amount to be paid as follows:
ü  Rs. 6,000/- at the time of admission.
ü  Rs. 4,000/- after two weeks of practical training.
Procedure:

for B.tech/Diploma 
(EE/EEE)
2012 or 2013 Batch
·         First Round of interview will be taken on Phone (to be taken by Top technical expert). The questions shall be asked on any favourite subject of a candidate (in the field like power system, transformer, Machines etc.)
Note: The student will be intimated for the next round based on the performance of  1st round of telephonic interview.)
·         Second Round shall be through personal Interview.

Placement

1. Basic Electrical  Engineering : Fundamental Concept

2. Familiarization with Power Equipments
Transformer, Machines, Protective Devices, Insulators, Conductor, Energy Meter, Circuit breaker, CT, PT, SCADA, etc.

3. Overview of Power System:

·         Sub-Station-EHV , Distribution
·         HVDC
4. Construction Management
·         Contract Management
·         Quality Assurance (MQP/FQP)
5. Overview of Indian Power Sector:
·         Electricity Tariff
·         Load Dispatch
·         Procurement
·         Regulatory Affairs (CERC/SERC)
·         Electricity act 2003
6. Basic Course on written (grammar + vocabulary) and spoken English

(any 3/4 visits, depending on the interest level of the candidates)

Note:
  • Limited Batch strength for B.Tech/Diploma students (2012/2013-EE/EEE).
  • Transport, Food and accommodation facility will be borne by students on their own.
  • Only Top performing candidates shall be recommended for placement in good core companies.
  • After successful training programme, training certificate will be awarded to students.
  • During training FDC will provide study material related to the course.

Training and Placement cell of MIMIT Malout is being managed by a dedicated team. The cell acts as a linker for the Industrial Training and Placement of students. The Training and Placement cell establishes contacts with industrial houses to arrange training and placement of the students. The Training and Placement cell also guides and helps the Final year students in securing jobs with their knowledge and achievements, by organizing campus Interviews and exploring various avenues for their placement. The cell extends all possible helps and provides all available infrastructure facilities to the organizations and their respective officials conducting campus interviews in the college campus. The cell also prepares placement brochure in print and electronic format and further distribution to relevant industry and job providers.
